Welcome to the White Hills Elementary Guidance web page.  I am Eunice V. Copeland and this is my fourth year serving as the school’s Guidance Counselor.  My entire counseling career covers a span of nineteen years.  Prior to becoming a counselor I was a Kindergarten teacher for eight years.

My educational background includes both a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge.

As the counselor at White Hills, I work with the parents, teachers and the administrator to help establish a supportive network for all the students.  In an effort to meet the needs of each child I:

  • Counsel students individually
  • Counsel students with similar concerns in small groups
  • Organize/coordinate support programs such Uniforms for Kids, Pat’s Coats for Kids, Red Ribbon Week, etc.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, the administrator, and community agencies regarding student concerns
  • Supervise/coordinate testing/screenings, and
  • Assist with 5th Grade transition to middle school.

Contributing to the positive development of all students here at White Hills Elementary give me great satisfaction, however on a personal note, I also enjoy relaxation time.  Traveling, exercising, and (sometimes) sewing are my best forms of relaxation.
